Florida Opera Theatre holds special programs for friends and members featuring opera, youth events, luncheons, music education and opera productions furthering the art form in Orlando and Central Florida.
Partnerships and collaborations with other opera companies, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, University of Central Florida, Valencia College, the Art and History Museums-Maitland and more provide opera fans year-round entertainment.

Six Performances for 2012-13 Florida Opera Theatre Season
Florida Opera Theatre has six performances planned September through March including three Winter Park soloist concerts, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Menotti’s The Telephone, and An Evening if Dash and Romance.
“Opera in the Park” A Winter Park Opera Concert Series
Three talented solists perform favorite musical selections at the Winter Park Wedding Chapel, 301 West New England Ave. Soloists were Orlando Metropolitan Opera Audition winners who progressed to higher levels of The Metropolitan Opera’s competition.
Tickets for the “Concerts in the Park” are $55 for the 3 concert series or $50 for Florida Opera Theatre members. Single tickets are $20 each. Performances of Giacomo Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” followed by an Artist Mingle for pictures and autographs with fans. Final times and venue to be announced very soon.

Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Telephone”
Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Telephone” plus, “A Musical Revue of Ringing Proportions” to be held at Art & History Museums-Maitland’s Germaine Marvel Building, 210 W. Packwood Avenue, Maitland, followed by a reception with cash bar. Guests will be invited to tour the Maitland Art and History Museums’ Telephone Museum.

The Florida Opera Theatre held its debut opera season in 2011-12 including The Medium, by Gian Carlo Menotti in December 2011; Rossini’s The Barber of Seville in January 2012; and Verdi’s Rigoletto presented by The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra & produced in collaboration with Florida Opera Theatre in March 2012.
“I’m thrilled to accept the position of Director In Residence for Florida Opera Theater and join them in presenting performances in different, exciting locations throughout the city,” said Eric Pinder.
An Evening of Dash and Romance
Florida Opera Theatre presents Elizabeth Bogner Ingram, soprano; Sarah Purser Bojorquez, mezzo soprano; andRobin Andrew Stamper, pianist; with guest artist, soprano Samantha Barnes Daniel in a concert. The program will feature opera arias and ensembles by Handel, Mozart, Donizetti, Saint-Saëns, Massenet, Richard Strauss and virtuoso piano works by Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff.
